April Happenings

We had a pretty eventful April. My parents came into town for a visit and the girls were happy to see them again. We keep Easter low key with activities and make sure to focus on the real meaning of Easter. With Arizona being older, we had a number of fhe lessons that focused on the resurrection. We usually go to an egg hunt at our ward, but for some reason, the ward we are in didn't have one. I was bummed out about it. The girls have loved doing those in the past. They did have beautiful dresses to wear.

The weather has been warming up and we've had lots of opportunities to go out and play. We even had a swim day at our pool. The water was so cold but the girls didn't care- at least I got my tan on.

In one of our fhe lessons we focused on the blessings of the temple. We are lucky to have a temple 20 minutes away and what's even better is that it looks very similar to the Chicago Temple. I love going in and feeling like I'm home. We were excited to take the girls there and walk the grounds. When we arrived- there were bulldozers everywhere and tons of landscapers. The outside of the temple grounds  is still getting remodeled and I can't wait to see how it will look when it's all done. 

Just today I took the girls to the fire station with a group of friends to see what firefighters do. I realized before we headed out that Arizona has no clue about firefighters. I had to explain their job description and what to expect. She was scared when the firefighter put on all his gear and told me she didn't want to see a fire. I don't think she quite understands how everything works. Maybe I will need to introduce her to a tv show that features firefighters so she could get a visual. She loved looking at the truck and sitting inside though. 

And of course, just a few extras from the month. I sure do love these kiddos.
