Sister Birthdays

The two youngest girls have birthdays next to each other in July. Adeline was born on July 28th 2016 and Brielle was born on July 29th 2014. We celebrated Adeline on the 28th with a cupcake. We hadn't given her many sweets before her birthday so we assumed that a rush of sugar would be a yummy surprise but she was not having it. Now she loves sweets and I have to hide by chocolate cashews from her.
Adeline was our latest walker from the older girls but started to find more interest days after her first birthday. She is more independent now and loves to explore her big sisters rooms. She LOVES to eat. I really don't know how she manages to fit all of the food/snacks I give her throughout the day. SHer favorites are blueberries, rice, and watermelon. She will try most everything as well. She is no longer nursing and finally sleeping thru the night. Her naps have become more consistent with one in the morning and one in the afternoon. As a third child she is along for the ride to soccer games, ballet, and school drop off and pickup. Thankfully, her attitude toward her carseat is better and I think she's gotten used to being a passenger along for the ride.

                         Adeline's 1 year old stats: 20 lbs 10 ounces- 45%; Height: 30"- 80%

                       Brielle's 3 year old stats: 31 lbs 13 ounces- 75%: Height: 39.5"- 90%
When we came home from Illinois, we planned a fun donut party for Brielle. She is a sweet, rambunctious, full of energy, defiant and so expressive middle child. She is true to her role as middle child as she loves to copy Arizona and be close to her with playing, sleeping and even going to the bathroom together. She is also very sweet and caring to Adeline. Now that Arizona is in school, she has played better with Adeline but gets very excited when Adeline goes down for a nap so she can watch her shows. She loves books so much and is excited to pick out what she wants at the library. She still loves her doggie and has introduced a new doggie named e-guy (no idea where she got that name from) into the mix. She is still potty training where some days she loves her diaper while others she can't wait to wear her Paw Patrol underwear. We will get there with her someday. Like I said, middle child woes.

We had the kids come her party in bathing suits to splash around in the backyard first. We grilled burgers and hot dogs, had a donut cake and as a special surprise, we had a face painter. The kids loved getting fun characters painted on their face and were bummed when we had to wash it off the next morning for church. No surprise that Brielle had to get a doggie painted on her face.
