It was finally starting to cool down in Texas and the kids were loving the play time outside. It's been really nice to have the girls play after school while waiting for Arizona to get out. For some reason, Adeline has never been a long napper. So when she wakes early, we head over to the school and wait. I noticed it was a good way for Adeline and Brielle to let out their energy and to give me a small window of quiet time.
The holidays were quickly approaching and we had to make a decision on whether we were going to Illinois for Thanksgiving or for Christmas. In the end, we thought it was best to wait until Christmas to see the Atkins side of the family. I also wanted to host my first Thanksgiving at our house. We invited our friends and their kiddos over for a wonderful dinner and of course plenty of pie.
