Daniel update and Spring Formal

Daniel is close to finishing his first year at MBA school. I can't believe how quickly it all went. I remember getting on the plane and crying as we left my hometown of Chicago behind. It feels like yesterday and here we are 3 months away from hitting our 1 year mark. The first year of Daniel's program was hard. He was gone most of the time and thankfully, I wasn't pregnant at the time, cause I would have lost it!! Apparently, the second year mellows down a little more and he isn't as busy.

Yearly, Daniel's school has a Spring Formal and we were debating on wether we should go or not. It turned out that the Saturday the formal fell on- was also the Saturday my parents were here visiting. Score! Free babysitting and we were able to stay out till 1 am.  It was awesome.

The night of the formal- it was so nice to dress up and feel like youngins again.
Of course we took the typical "school prom" picture. We laughed about it, cause I'm knocked up.

A few more pictures of us at the event. The downside was the excessive amount of alcohol- people were pretty tipsy, and there was a lack of appetizers. For a pregnant lady like myself, I would like to indulge in some steak kabobs, and shrimp skewers. It was almost non existent. We had a blast and by the end of the night both Daniel's and my voice were sore. We talked so much and talked loudly because the band was playing so loud. If was almost like our last hurrah before the new babe comes.

Daniel received a internship offer from AT&T and will be working there over the summer. He is really excited about working at such a large strong company.  The interview process was stressful- not only for him, but for me as well. He applied to many internships and got a lot of first and second interviews with multiple companies. Unfortunately, he didn't get a position with a consulting company but I feel like it all worked out for the best, as a consultant, you are required to travel at least three days a week and considering that we will be having this baby mid summer- it would be very difficult for him to be around during the newborn phase. With AT&T, he will do a normal work hour day and that will make our lives easier with two kids. I'm so proud of all he's accomplished and I know he will continue to do amazing things. That's my man!

  1. Stayed out until 1 AM? You party animals! The only time I see 1:00 AM on a clock is when I'm getting out of bed to use the bathroom....
